Two moderate earthquakes rattled the northeastern Aegean island of Samos Thursday but there were no reports of damage or injuries, the Athens Geodynamic Institute said. The earthquakes, which took place at 7 a.m. (0500 GMT), had magnitudes of 4.4 and 4.3 on the Richter scale and had an epicentre 259 kilometres from Athens. --SP 1101 Local Time 0801 GMT
