Sheikh, Egypt, Mar. 7, SPA -- Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Deputy President of Youth Welfare of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today briefed the Arab ministers in charge of youth and sports affairs on the preparations taken by the Saudi authorities to host the world's biggest Islamic youth and sports gathering. In a key address at the opening session of the 28th conference of Arab Ministers for Youth and Sports Council, Prince Nawaf said four Saudi cities: Makkah, Almadinah, Jeddah and Taif will host the First Islamic Solidarity Games from 8 - 20 April 2005. He said 54 out of 57 Islamic countries, who have been invited to take part in the event, have responded positively. He noted that around 6,000 athletes are expected to take part in the 15-game event. Prince Nawaf said two media centers in each of the four cities will serve media correspondents. The meeting is scheduled to discuss a number of issues on its agenda.
