The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, received today the Envoy of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council in Sudan to Neighboring Countries and the African Union, Ambassador Dafallah Haj Ali, who explained the position of the Sudanese government regarding the developments of the current situation in Sudan. The OIC Secretary General expressed his hope for the continuation of the humanitarian truce, reaching a permanent ceasefire, and the return of security and stability to Sudan as soon as possible in order to preserve the security and safety of the Sudanese people, the Sudanese state and its capabilities. He stressed that the open-ended meeting of the Executive Committee would discuss the situation in Sudan next Wednesday, which reflects the interest of the member states in the current events in Sudan and their keenness to establish security, unity, safety and stability in Sudan.
