The Muslim World League (MWL) appreciates the tremendous humanitarian and diplomatic role the Kingdom continues to play regarding the crisis in Sudan, including the exceptional success of operations to evacuate nationals of several Islamic and friendly countries, as well as diplomats, officials, and workers in international organizations. In a statement by the General Secretariat of the MWL, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the MWL Secretary-General and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, voiced his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for this great humanitarian initiative. He also praised the operations of evacuating the nationals stranded in Sudan amid armed conflict, their safe and secure arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and providing them with all their requirements in preparation for their departure to their homelands. Dr. Al-Issa also appreciated the great diplomatic efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to resolve the Sudanese crisis and communicate with all the conflicting parties to reach a comprehensive and peaceful solution, reiterating the calls to stop military operations and give priority to the interest of the dear Sudanese people in this challenging circumstance.
