The Muslim World League (MWL) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) have signed a cooperation agreement in order to provide a comprehensive package of humanitarian assistance to those affected by armed conflicts, displaced people, and migrants in various countries around the world. MWL Muslim World League Secretary General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa and IFRC Secretary General Jagan Chapagain signed the agreement in Washington. Al-Issa emphasized the importance of collaboration between international organizations for achieving humanitarian goals, and MWL is pleased with its partnership with IFRC to support those affected by conflicts, particularly to lessen the suffering of migrants and internally displaced people. Under the agreement, MWL will contribute to providing resources, knowledge, expertise, communications, spreading of information and detailed review and evaluation of each project, while IFRC will implement the planned projects in the agreed-upon quality and timeframe, and provide regular reports for follow-up.
