The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance hosted Ramadan Iftar banquets at Masjid Al-Dahab, also known as the Manila Golden Mosque and Cultural Center, as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Iftar Banquet Program implemented by the ministry in the Republic of the Philippines. Islamic dignitaries, officials, and worshipers attended the banquets held in line with the Kingdom's efforts to serve Muslims worldwide, following the directives of the Kingdom's leadership. Masjid Al-Dahab, named after the golden dome that crowns its roof, is one of the largest mosques in Manila's capital city. According to Turki Al-Sweileh, religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Iftar Banquet Program in the Philippines includes 14 areas across the country. The program aims to serve more than 100,000 fasting people during the holy month of Ramadan this year. More than 20 mosques and Islamic centers throughout the Philippines will host Iftar banquets as part of the program.
