The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance - represented by the religious attaché at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's embassy in New Delhi, India - delivered the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's gift of dates to the People's Republic of Sri Lanka for 2023, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Colombo Khalid bin Mahmoud Al-Qahtani, and Director of the Department of Islamic and Cultural Affairs at the Sri Lankan Ministry of Religions Zain Al-Abidin Mohamed Faisal. Al-Qahtani praised the Ministry of Islamic Affairs' efforts in implementing the program in Sri Lanka and other countries, indicating that these projects embody Islamic action and meet the needs of Muslims in the blessed month of Ramadan, stressing that the Kingdom's prudent leadership is keen to deliver goodness to all Muslims. The dates will be distributed to the beneficiaries in coordination with the Islamic centers in various parts of Sri Lanka throughout Ramadan, as the number of beneficiaries of the program is more than 5000 people.
