The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the Saudi embassy in Khartoum, last night, inaugurated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' programs for Iftar and distributing dates on the occasion of Ramadan, 1444 Hijri. The inauguration was attended by Minister of Religious Affairs and Awqaf of the Republic of Sudan Abd Al-Ati Ahmed Abbas and Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jafar. In a speech, Jafar referred to the distinguished bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sudan in various fields. He commended the efforts of the religious attaché at the embassy in the field of dawah and charity and humanitarian works, noting that Sudan has received 100 tons of dates delivered to the Sudan Humanitarian Aid Commission as a grant to the government of Sudan, referring to distributing 37,500 food baskets in 8 Sudanese states in coordination with official Sudanese authorities.
