The Muslim World League (MWL) launched today in Khartoum the Ramadan food baskets project for more than 2,000 families in Khartoum State and other states, as well as the water coolers project under which 101 water coolers will be distributed to mosques, universities, and scientific institutes. This initiative, which comes as a gesture of paying tribute to the souls of martyrs of the desert and in response to the will of Muzna Saifuddin, was attended by Saudi ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaafar; Sudanese Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Nasreddin Mufreh, and Sudanese Minister of Social Affairs Ahmed Adam Bakhit. The Saudi ambassador affirmed that this inauguration is part of the Kingdom's humanitarian and charity programs in Sudan under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to provide assistance to the Sudanese people, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
