The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance is organising a set of programs and activities to be carried out during the Holy Month of Ramadan 1444 in several countries worldwide through religious attachés, Call offices, and Islamic centres affiliated with the ministry, in cooperation with the Kingdom's embassies. The activities include the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Programme that holds Iftar banquets for fasting people in 40 countries and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Gift of Dates Programme whereby 500 tonnes of dates are gifted to 60 countries. The ministry organizes such programmes abroad as part of its efforts to put into practice the message of the Kingdom and its wise leadership to serve Islam and Muslims; these programmes testify to the great role Saudi Arabia is playing.
