Lee Jong-Sup, the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, received Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defense, at a military parade field in the headquarters of the Korean Ministry of National Defense in Seoul today. An official reception ceremony was held in honor of Prince Khalid bin Salman, during which 19 artillery rounds were fired as a gesture of welcome and hospitality. The Saudi and Korean royal anthems were also played. The commander of the parade queue invited Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to begin the inspection. The Korean Minister of National Defense accompanied the Saudi Minister in an open vehicle and toured the military queues. Afterward, Prince Khalid bin Salman shook hands with the Korean side, while the Korean Minister of Defense shook hands with the members of the Saudi delegation. Meanwhile, commemorative photos were taken, and Prince Khalid wrote a note in the official visit book. Following the parade, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, held a meeting with Lee Jong-Sup, the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, they reviewed the historical friendship between the two countries and discussed bilateral cooperation in the military and defense fields. They also discussed the latest developments at the regional and international arenas and the efforts exerted towards them. The two sides discussed several issues of mutual interest. Several senior officials from Saudi Arabia and Korea attended the meeting.
