Pakistan and Algeria have agreed to promote cooperation in oil and gas fields and take benefit from each other experience for mutual advantage, an official statement said. Algerian Ambassador to Islamabad Nadir Alarbaqui met Pakistan's Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Amanullah Khan Jadoon. They exchanged views on prospects of oil and gas cooperation between the two brotherly countries. The ambassador said that Pak-Algeria Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) is expected to meet in Islamabad in May this year and hoped that it would provide an opportunity to explore avenues of oil, gas and mineral cooperation between the two countries. The minister briefed Alarbaqui about the exploration activities in Pakistan's oil, gas and ministerial sectors including the cross border proposed gas pipeline projects. He invited the Algerian investors participate in the oil and gas development activities in a very investor-friendly climate here.
