German shares showed little movement as trading began Tuesday on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, while the euro was steady on currency markets. The 30-share DAX edged down a tiny 0.04 per cent to 4385 points, while the MDAX list of 70 mid-caps fell 0.38 per cent to 4711 points. But the technology index TecDAX gained 0.24 per cent to 544 points. The euro was steady in early trading on European markets, with traders quoting 1.2972 dollars or 77.05 euro- cents per dollar. The early quotation was little different from the 1.2967 dollars reference rate set Monday by the European Central Bank.
