The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, met separately, in Cairo today, with the Egyptian Minister of Awqaf Dr. Mohammed Mukhtar Juma and the Grand Mufti of Egypt Sheikh Dr. Shawki Ibrahim Allam, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Osama bin Ahmed Nuqali. During the two meetings, they discussed ways to enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of providing services to pilgrims from Egypt to perform their rituals with peace and ease. Dr. Al-Rabiah reviewed the various digital options and solutions offered by the "Nusuk" platform, with the aim of facilitating the arrival of Egyptian pilgrims to Makkah and visitors to Madinah with various types of visas to perform their rituals, while providing them with all services to enrich their religious and cultural experience, in order to realize the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Dr. Al-Rabiah also indicated that the Umrah visa was extended from one to three months for all pilgrims from all over the world, affirming the readiness of all government agencies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the expected increase of pilgrims and Umrah performers after Covid-19 receded. Dr. Al-Rabiah's visit witnessed holding of many meetings with Egyptian officials to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides in several fields as well as the prospects for developing distinguished relations between the two countries.
