Presided over by its Deputy Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami, the Shura Council held virtually today its 50th ordinary session. During the meeting, the Shura Council discussed a number of reports presented by the Human Resources and Social Development Committee; the Energy and Industry Committee; the Hajj, Housing and Services Committee; the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee; the Education and Scientific Research Committee; and the Trade and Investment Committee. The Shura Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Royal Commission for AlUla of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It also approved a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of export credit between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Shura Council approved a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Seychelles, signed in Riyadh on 30/05/2022. It also approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the field of preventing and combating corruption, signed in Amman on 21/06/2022. The Shura Council also discussed a number of issues on its agenda.
