President Kassym Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan received yesterday, at the Independence Palace in Nur-Sultan, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which is currently being held with the participation of more than 100 delegations from 60 countries. The Kazakh president praised the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims in the world, appreciating the Kingdom's distinguished participation in the work of the 7th Congress held in Kazakhstan, which seeks to achieve fruitful cooperation to address hatred. On his part, Minister of Islamic Affairs conveyed to the Kazakh president the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and their wishes for more security, stability and progress for the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Minister praised Kazakhstan's efforts to promote dialogue and spread a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among followers of global and traditional religions by launching international conferences for dialogue and exchanging views to spread tolerance. The Minister also stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership, based on its leadership in the Islamic world, are cooperating with all countries to promote a culture of dialogue, lay the foundations for global security, and counter the hate speech advocated by extremist groups. At the end of the reception, the Kazakh President presented a souvenir to the Minister on this occasion.
