The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) yesterday carried out its first international flight, evacuating a female citizen suffering from a health condition in Georgia, after reactivating the air ambulance service, in coordination with the Health Ministry. The specialized medical evacuation team provided health care during the flight, which was the first international flight to evacuate sick or injured citizens, ensure their access to health facilities and provide them with the best medical care. The air ambulance service comes within the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the health sector transformation program by enhancing the quality of ambulance services. Through its air ambulance services, SRCA started delivering services to 200 patients and transferred them to specialized medical facilities under the supervision of a specialized ambulance team. Through this service, the Saudi ed Crescent Authority seeks to enhance the quality of ambulance services and activate the principle of "save lives" through its initiatives at the national and international levels.
