The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) signed a partnership agreement with the American-based BHI Helicopters Inc. to buy eight ambulance helicopters over three years. The SRCA seeks to enhance its air medical services and provide patients with top-notch healthcare services. Helicopter pads will be built in Makkah, Jeddah, Riyadh, Madina, Qassim and Hail. Dr. Rasheed Al-Eid, SRCA executive director, said emergency air medical services saved over 500 people over the past year.
