Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi received at his residence during his private visit to the Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense. The Deputy Minister of Defense conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, to the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and members of the Council, and their wishes for Yemen and its people security, stability and peace. Meanwhile, Al-Alimi conveyed to the Deputy Minister of Defense his greetings to the Kingdom's leadership. During the meeting, and emanating from the Kingdom's leadership's keenness to support the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Yemeni government in advancing Yemen politically and economically, and in continuation of the Kingdom's support for the Yemeni people, a package of development projects, which will be implemented by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, were announced, which included 17 development project in 6 sectors including energy, transportation, education, water, health, and building state institutions, $400 million, in addition to $200 million to provide oil derivatives to operate power stations to meet the priority needs of the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering. The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the Council's efforts in unifying the Yemeni components to reach a comprehensive political solution. The Deputy Minister of Defense reiterated the Kingdom's support for the Presidential Council, and its blessing for the council's positive initiatives with the international community to bring security, peace, and stability to Yemen, end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution that will bring peace to Yemen and boost its development. The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Saeed Al Jaber, and a number of officials from both sides.
