Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international levels. Al-Riyadh newspapers reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is exerting exceptional efforts to achieve security and stability in the Republic of Yemen and alleviate the human suffering of its people, in addition to exerting unremitting efforts for putting an end to the ongoing conflict. Saudi Arabia supports international and international efforts to reach a permanent political solution, in accordance with the three references; Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism and the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue and UN Security Council Resolution 2216, the paper said. The Kingdom was one of the first countries to announce its full support for the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen and supported reaching a peace truce to end war and conflicts there and start a new page of peace and reconciliation between the Yemeni parties, the paper added. In this regard, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense discussed the Yemeni file with the US Special Envoy for Yemen, Tim Lenderking in Washington, affirming Saudi Arabia's full support for Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen and entities supporting it and their aspirations for Yemenis to reach a comprehensive political solution that would move Yemen to peace and development, the paper concluded.
