Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues, at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported in its editorial that since many years ago, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly supported peace-making efforts, in Yemen, along with providing unremitting support for UN efforts, in order to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis there. The paper added that in many occasions, Saudi Arabia emphasized its supports for political solutions between the Yemeni parties, if the Houthi revolutionaries show their goodwill and seriousness, in achieving peace. The paper concluded that Riyadh Agreement, which was sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, last year, is the basis for any peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis. Al-Bilad reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed the need for the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to take unified stance by adopting the draft resolution that calls on Iran for full and immediate cooperation, including allowing the IAEA to enter the specified sites, ensuring its commitment to implementing the comprehensive safeguards agreement (CSA) and the additional protocol. The paper added that the step would ensure that Iran cannot develop nuclear technology for non-peaceful purposes, and would help to intensify inspections inside the country, in order to reach any sites that can be used to carry out unannounced activities.
