An American soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad on Saturday, the U.S. military said. The blast in a western district of the capital killed the Task Force Baghdad soldier, whose name was held pending notification of his family. At least 1,412 American service members have been killed in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion.
