A U.S. soldier was killed when her patrol was struck by a roadside bomb south of Baghdad, the military said Saturday, according to AP. The soldier, assigned to Multi-National Division - Center, died on Thursday, the U.S. military said in a statement. The military also said one soldier was killed in a non-combat explosion north of Baghdad on Saturday. A second soldier was wounded. The victims' names were withheld pending family notification. At least 3,850 U.S. military personnel have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an AP count.
