The medical team of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), led by Dr. Rahim Gul, the Nabdh AlSaudia Volunteer Program for Cardiac Catheterization and Surgery in Hadramout, saved the life of a 66-year-old patient suffering from chronic obstruction of the right coronary artery in Al Mukalla after the medical team performed a complex therapeutic catheterization through the branch arteries from the left side feeding the right artery. The Retrograde technique used in the operation is one of the most complex modern techniques for its high cost and the quality of the supplies used. The catheterization staff at the Pulse of Life Center participated in the operation, with the participation of the consultant cardiologist and cardiac catheterization Dr. Tayeb Bafadl. The Nabdh AlSaudia Volunteer Program for Cardiac Catheterization and Surgery valued KSrelief's initiative to take care of such difficult medical cases and its keenness to provide various forms of aid to patients and injured people in Yemen. KSrelief has implemented the 9th voluntary medical project within the Nabdh AlSaudia Volunteer Program for open-heart diseases and surgeries for adults in Mukalla in Hadramout Governorate, which was held from 12 to 19 March 2022, during which the medical team of KSrelief successfully performed 19 open-heart surgeries and 49 therapeutic catheterization operations.
