Quds as its capital. The two countries condemned the vicious practices of Israel against the unarmed Palestinian people in violation to the international resolutions and norms. They slammed Israel's disrespect to the Arab peace initiative based on the initiative of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, which called for a just, durable and comprehensive settlement for the Arab-Israeli dispute. The two countries confirmed their solidarity with the Iraqi people as well as their keenness on preserving the unity of the Iraqi territories. They called for avoiding intervention in Iraq's domestic affairs, and hoped that the Iraqi factions would work for a genuine national reconciliation .
