Amman-based Islamic conference for al-Quds has deplored the decision of Israel to build 750 housing units near occupied Quds and new settlements in the west bank. The statement released by the Islamic conference here today said the decision of Israel to build new settlements and housing units provides a clear evidence that it is planning to judaize the Palestinian territories. The statement called for taking an Arab and international stand for confronting the Israeli decision which constitutes a flagrant violation to the Palestinian rights. Underlining the importance of the comprehensive, just and durable peace, the statement called the Arab and Muslim governments and organizations to voice sympathy and solidarity with the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, the statement urged the international community and the United Nations as well as the international humanitarian organizations to shoulder their responsibility in this respect and to work for preventing Israel form building new settlements in al-Quds and the west bank.
