CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Al-Marshed received today at the fund's headquarters Ethiopian Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide. The meeting reviewed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through projects funded by SFD, to support Ethiopia, in addition to other development projects that are currently being implemented. Both sides also discussed issues of mutual interest and existing development projects that are offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's government through SFD with the aim of supporting infrastructure and contributing to the sustainable growth in Ethiopia. Shide expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts in supporting Ethiopia over the past years, praising the efforts of SFD in financing decade-long development projects and programs, noting that these SFD-funded schemes have a positive impact in the social and economic growth and prosperity in all sectors. The SFD has granted 8 loans to support and finance 8 development projects with a value of more than USD 227 million, where these development projects are part of the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through SFD, to contribute to realizing the Sustainable Development Goals.
