The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance will virtually participate in the 34th annual conference for Muslims of Latin America and the Caribbean, which is organized by the Islamic Call Center in Brazil under the title "Waqf and its role in serving Muslim communities" on January 24 and 25. The conference will include the participation of Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh and several scholars, academia and students from various countries. The conference will tackle four aspects: the concept of waqf (endowment) and its types and conditions; fields of waqf, goals and its importance to Muslim minorities; waqf from a legal perspective; historical and contemporary models of waqf; and the reasons for having weak waqf in the current time and means to activate it among Muslim minorities. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation is based on its message and leading role in the Islamic action with its various scopes and stresses its status in serving Islam and Muslims, highlighting the true image of Islam based on moderation, and showing what it does to serve Muslims in the world.
