Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh at his office in the Shura Council's headquarters in Riyadh today received newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pakeer Mohideen Amza. The Speaker of the Shura Council expressed his wishes of success to the ambassador to serve the interest of strengthening the relations that unite Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka in various fields. He stressed the Council's keenness and interest in developing joint bilateral work and coordination at the level of parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Sri Lankan Parliament in order to achieve constructive cooperation for the benefit of the two countries. For his part, Ambassador Pakeer Mohideen Amza conveyed to the Speaker of the Shura Council the greetings of the Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament, stressing the importance of the bilateral relations and their development in various political, economic and tourism fields, especially the parliamentary relationships. During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed.
