Akhir 17, 1432, March 22, 2011, SPA -- Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammad Bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh received here today the ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmed Aflal Jawad. During the reception, the ambassador conveyed to Dr Al Al-Sheikh the greetings of the Speaker of Sri Lanka's Parliament who invited him to visit the Republic of Sri Lanka. During the meeting, they reviewed a number of topics and issues of common interest between the Kingdom and Sri Lanka, and ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly at the level of parliamentary relations between Majlis Al-Shura and Sri Lankan Parliament. They also explored means of activating the role of the Parliamentary Friendship Committees in the interest of the two countries and their peoples. The meeting was attended by Director General of Public Relations and Information at Majlis Al-Shura, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Othman Al-Soqhair.
