Quds city, Jan 5, SPA -- Two homemade Palestinian rockets fell into southern Israel on Wednesday, wounding seven Israelis, one of them seriously, the Israeli army said. Military officials declined to say where the rocket had landed. Palestinian militants in the northern Gaza Strip have stepped up rocket fire in recent weeks, prompting the Israeli army to launch a new operation in the area this week. The army said two other rockets landed in southern Israel earlier Wednesday, causing no injuries.
