The Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) has started to operate flights for the transportation of the Iranian pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the agreement earlier signed by the Kingdom and the Iranian Ministry of Islamic Guidance. SAA's Director General Dr Khalid bin Bakr said, under the agreement, SAA will transport about 100,000 Iranian pilgrims from Tehran, Asfihan, Shiraz, Karman, Mash'had, Yazd, Sari and Bosh'har to the Kingdom. Dr Bin Bakr noted that, under the aforesaid agreement, SAA transported during this year's Umrah (minor Hajj) season about 250,000 Iranian Umrah performers aboard 900 flights from 12 Iranian cities.
