A Moldovan air force plane carrying aid for Afghanistan made a crash landing Thursday in the Central Asian republic of Tajikistan. None of the eight crew members were hurt as the Ilyushin Il-76 set down on its belly in the capital Dushanbe after its landing gear failed to open, Tajik military officials said. The aircraft was rerouted to Dushanbe after the technical problem prevented a landing in Kabul with humanitarian supplies from France.
