Khobar, Saudi Arabia, Dec. 27, SPA-- Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, patronized here today the inauguration ceremony of the project of desalinated water transportation from Saline Water Conversion and Power Generation Station in Al-Khobar to the governorates of Al-Ahsa and Buqiq. The ceremony was attended by Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Upon arrival at the venue, the Crown Prince and the Bahraini king were received by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Eastern Region; Prince Jelawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice Governor of the Eastern Region; Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein, the Minister of Water and Electricity and Chairman of Board of Directors of Saline Water Conversion Corporation and a number of officials. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. The minister of water and electricity pointed out that the project will provide the Governorates of Al-Ahsa and Buqiq with nearly 200,000 cubic meters per day of desalinated water. --More 2204 Local Time 1904 GMT
