The nutrition project for children under the age of five and nursing and pregnant mothers, with the support of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has continued providing medical and nutrition services to beneficiaries in Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Hodeidah, Hadhramaut, Hajjah and Marib governorates in Yemen, where the number of beneficiaries between July 29 and August 4 totaled 17,580. A total of 4,279 children cases were reviewed and treatment was provided for 299 who suffer from severe acute malnutrition and for 584 who suffer from moderate malnutrition, in addition to providing medical services for 238 children to protect them against malnutrition. As many as 1,638 pregnant and nursing mothers cases were reviewed and treatment was provided for 452 cases. Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) services were offered to 3,668 beneficiaries, in addition to providing awareness activities to 4,759 beneficiaries and counseling services to 1,663 beneficiaries. These services are part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts, through KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis due to the current humanitarian crisis.
