King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues implementing a project to enhance school health services and manage malnutrition cases among students and educational staff in Aden Governorate, Yemen. Over the past five months, KSrelief offered several services related to psychology, community health and nutrition. The team of the Center has also organized voluntary awareness campaigns against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which included educating beneficiaries on health precautionary measures, such as washing hands, covering the nose while sneezing, covering the face while coughing, ensuring personal hygiene and cleanliness of homes. Team members also distributed packages of medical sanitizers, face masks and other necessary medical supplies. The project aims at providing services related to psychological and social support, in addition to limiting infections and fatalities resulting from malnutrition among children and pregnant and nursing women through ensuring the implementation of interventions that can save lives and provide preventive nutrition, as well as preliminary health, water and sanitation interventions that benefit refugees and host communities in 8 directorates in Aden Governorate, Yemen. These endeavors are part of the humanitarian and relief projects system offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to the Yemeni people to help mitigate the humanitarian suffering in Yemen.
