Honduran authorities on Saturday announced the arrest of two additional suspects, two days after a public bus in northern Honduras was riddled with bullets, killing 28 people and wounding 14. Suspected gang members wielding assault rifles had cut off and opened fire on a city bus filled with commuters in the San Pedro Sula suburb of Chamelecon, 200 kilometers (125 miles) north of the capital, Tegucigalpa. The violence stunned a country known for lawlessness and has made the government's anti-crime campaign resemble an open war between street gangs and authorities. Families buried victims of the attack under sunny skies, as about 2,000 soldiers continued to search the slums and outskirts of San Pedro Sula for those responsible. Suspected gang member Alexis Ramirez, 23, was arrested in San Pedro shortly after the attack while driving a car containing two assault rifles, two pistols and ammunition. Authorities announced Saturday that two suspected gang members arrested in Cofradia, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) east of San Pedro, have been linked to the attack. --More 2300 Local Time 2000 GMT
