At least 18 people were killed in fighting between feuding gangs in a prison in Honduras, a spokesman for the Honduran police reported Saturday, according to DPA. The clash took place in a prison in the city of Tamara, around 30 kilometres north of the capital Tegucigalpa. No further information was available. On April 27, eight inmates were were slain in a shootout between gangs inside a prison in San Pedro Sula, 250 kilometres north Tegucigalpa. Honduras' prisons are considered hopelessly overcrowded.
