At least four people were killed and 14 wounded in separatist violence in the Indian portion of Kashmir Friday, including two civilians who died in a grenade attack by suspected rebels, police said. The grenade targeted a police jeep outside a crowded bus station in Pakharpora 50 kilometers (30 miles) southwest of Srinagar, the summer capital of India's Jammu-Kashmir state, said police officer R. R. Jala. He said no one claimed responsibility for the attack, which left two civilians dead. Eleven civilians and three policemen were wounded, he said. In a separate incident, two unidentified rebels were killed in a gunbattle with army soldiers in Mahore village, 200 kilometers (125 miles) south of Srinagar, said a written police statement. It gave no other details.
