President Kais Saied of the Republic of Tunisia received at Carthage Palace here today Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to the President, the government and the brotherly people of Tunisia; while the President sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH Crown Prince, the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They also reviewed the current situation in sisterly Tunisia and decisions taken by the President aiming at stabilizing the situation in Tunisia, especially the health and economic situation. The Tunisian President valued the Kingdom's permanent support for his country, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' response to his request during his call with HRH Crown Prince, and allocation of medical materials to the Republic of Tunisia to help combating the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Kingdom respects every matter pertaining to the Tunisian internal affairs and considers it as sovereign , reiterating the Kingdom's support for every matter that supports the security and stability of the sisterly Republic of Tunisia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also renewed the Kingdom's confidence in the Tunisian leadership to overcome these circumstances and to achieve a decent life and prosperity for the brotherly Tunisian people. The meeting was attended by Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi and Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia Abdulaziz Al-Saqr.
