King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in cooperation with the Muslim World League, continued its voluntary medical campaign for open heart surgery and catheterization in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for the year 2021. Since the beginning of the campaign, the volunteer medical team performed 67 heart catheterizations successfully. Advisor to the Mauritanian Minister of Health and Saudi Ambassador to Mauritania Dr. Hazaa bin Zabin Al-Mutairi visited the National Center of Cardiology in Nouakchott, which has the volunteer medical project for cardiac surgery and catheterization, and were briefed on the progress of the project and the medical achievements. It is worth mentioning that the project is one of the humanitarian projects, implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, in a number of needy countries with the aim of providing treatment to patients from families with low income.
