Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi inspected yesterday the workflow of media centers in Makkah and Holy Sites to cover this year's Hajj rituals. The media centers include technical equipment and cadres specialized in various printed, visual, and audio media which is reflected in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts and services being provided for pilgrims, so that they can perform their rituals security and stability. Minister Dr. Al-Qasabi inspected the Media Operations Room, where he listened to a briefing on the services provided by the room, including news, reports, press and television interviews, in addition to providing digital communication techniques that help media outlets representatives to accomplish their tasks. The Minister then visited the Hajj virtual media center that works to provide local and international media with various media materials around the clock. Minister Dr. Al-Qasabi also inspected the General Commission for Audiovisual Media and its preparations. The Minister of Media visited the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's media center and was briefed on its work and media contributions. Dr. Al-Qasabi was briefed on the Saudi Broadcasting Authority's technical preparations at Namira Mosque. He also inspected the Ministry of Media's HQ in Mina and was briefed on the ministry's preparations, in addition to visiting the Saudi Broadcasting Authority's Jamarat Bridge studio. After that, Minister Dr. Al-Qasabi visited the Saudi Press Agency's media center at Umm Al Qura University. He followed up on the center's work, which included the latest technologies in the media field and computer networks, as the center works on news, reports and field stories in various aspects related to Hajj. At the end of his visit, the Minister directed the center's team to exert great efforts to highlight the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's roles in serving pilgrims and the efforts of the various sectors participating in Hajj, in order to achieve the directives of the leadership, and to demonstrate the ritual of Hajj and the tolerance of Islam. The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Acting President of the Saudi Press Agency Dr. Fahd Al Aqran; the Ministry of Media's Undersecretary for Communication Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth; the Ministry's Undersecretary for International Relations Dr. Khalid Al-Ghamdi; President of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority Mohammed Al-Harthi; Acting Undersecretary for Hajj Shared Services Dr. Khalid Abu Hatla and a number of the Ministry's officials.
