Workings of the Saudi-British Sustainable Investment Forum started here today. The gathering, organized by the Saudi-British Business Council, is taking place in the presence of Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, the Saudi Ambassador to Britain; and Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce. Commenting on the event, William Russell, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, said he is looking forward to work with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to realize the objectives of sustainable development, in the sectors of green energy, pointing out that the world financial services would play a great role in backing up the economic shift and actualizing carbon-emission-free future. For his part, the Saudi Ambassador welcomed the audience and the guests, reasserting that the relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom are historical and old, considering the UK much more than a mere ally as it is a friend, and the forum as a significant chance to explore investment opportunities and working together, towards a green future.
