The Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi lauded commercial relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. In a press statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) here today, following participation in the work of the second Gulf - British Economic Forum, organized by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, in London, he pointed out that the official attendance of the Arab and the British, at the Forum indicates the status of importance that both sides attach to the development of cooperation, in various trade and investment fields. He explained that Britain is a historical friend and ally of the states of the region and there must be a concerted efforts to discuss the opportunities and challenges that contribute to the development of investment bridges between the two sides, especially after Britain's decision to leave the European Union, alluding to the large expansion that has occurred in trade and investment cooperation between the Gulf and Britain, in the areas such as education, defense and other investment activities. There are a huge Saudi investments in the UK, noting that the Kingdom's participation in the economic and investment forums, in all international forums comes for marketing investment opportunities adopted by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in line with the vision of the Kingdom in 2030, the minister added, concluding that the Saudi businessmen investments, in the United Kingdom, amounted to nearly 60 billion Sterling Pounds, in various domains.
