Saudi Arabian Airlines is to fly in 100,000 pilgrims from Turkey during this Hajj season. An agreement in this regard was signed by the airline with Diyanat, the Turkish religious affairs organization in Istanbul recently. Of the total, 40,000 pilgrims would fly Saudia through arrangements with travel agencies. The pilgrims would be flown from five embarkation points in Turkey - Istanbul, Adana, Ankara, Izmir and Antakia, to Jeddah and Madinah and back, according to a press statement published today. The agreement was signed by Dr. Khaled Ben-Bakr, the director general of the airline, and Professor Ali Bardak Oghlu, president of Diyanat. The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Turkey Muhammad Al-Bassam and senior executives of the airline and Diyanat.
