Polish conjoined twins, Daria and Olga Kolacz, arrived here on Sunday evening from Frankfurt for a separation surgery in the Saudi capital, which will be conducted at a royal directive from Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard. Crown Prince Abdullah has ordered the separation surgery of the conjoined twins at his personal expense at King Abdulaziz National Guard Medical City. The thirteen-month-old conjoined twins were received at King Khaled International Airport by Director General of Public Relations at the National Guard's Health Affairs Administration Sami Al-Shalan and a number of senior officials as well as the Polish Charge D'affairs in Riyadh. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Abdullah Al-Rabee'a, the Executive Director General of Health Affairs at the National Guard, highlighted the big strides made by the Health Affairs at the National Guard in the field of medical services, and said the separation surgery scheduled to be conducted on the conjoined twins would-be the sixth of its kind undertaken at King Abdulaziz National Guard Medical City. He noted that the primary medical reports indicate that the twins have joint spinal cord, pelvis, colon, and sexual organs.
