Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Saudi economy witnesses progress and growth in order to achieve sustainable transformation. Additionally, the Saudi economy has the elements of growth that were available through the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030. In same context, Saudi Arabia's digital economy has achieved advanced stages, reinforcing the Kingdom's position at the forefront of the region's economies and the effectiveness of the Saudi role in shaping the future of the global economy through the G20. The newspaper also pointed to the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announcement about the growth of the sector's market volume by an estimated 37%, bringing the size of the telecommunications, information technology and postal market in Saudi Arabia to SAR 140.4 billion, where the size of the telecommunications market was estimated at SAR 69 billion, information technology market at 65 billion and the size of the postal market at around 6.4 billion, thus playing a major role in transforming Saudi Arabia into a digital society with its robust infrastructure and effective organizational management, enabling digital transformation and advanced technologies. In another context, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the National Transformation Program (NTP) has achieved tremendous leaps in development indicators since its launch. The newspaper added that the National Transformation Program contributed to increasing Saudi women's economic participation rate to 33.5% in 2020. This achievement by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exceeded the rates of women's employment in countries preceding the Kingdom in empowering women. Moreover, since the launch of the NTP, Saudi Arabia conducted more than 555 reforms to better serve investors and reduced the time required to start a business from 15 days to 30 minutes only. The newspaper concluded that the recently released annual report of the National Transformation Program is full of achievements, numbers and ratios that demonstrate the progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the plans, strategies, goals and programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
