Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the of launch of "Made in Saudi" program, which aims at supporting national products and services at local and international levels, emanates from HRH Crown Prince's interest and keenness on supporting the national product and enhancing its role in light of the characteristics of national products that enjoy high quality and high competitiveness at regional and international levels, in addition to stressing the importance of raising awareness and confidence in local products and factories at all levels. SAUDI EXPORTS noted that the program will be launched today through a virtual event, during which the logo of the "Made in Saudi" will be revealed. Then, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Authority Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef is planned to hold a press conference in the presence of various media outlets to shed light on the program's plans, goals and work mechanism, the newspaper added. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom has worked to safeguard the strength of the economy to be capable of enhancing revenues and meeting market demands according to a comprehensive vision; Vision 2030. The expectations regarding the Kingdom's credit rating were based on the language of numbers and the efforts that work to strengthen the economy in order to overcome any crisis; such as the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, the newspaper pointed to S&P Global Rating announcement, as it has affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's credit rating at "'A-/A-2" with a stable outlook. This rating confirms the effectiveness of strong structural reforms in the public finances, which contributed significantly to the growth of non-oil revenues, which has reached about half of total revenue in 2020. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken firm steps towards digital transformation, applying modern technologies and activating artificial intelligence programs, in order to keep pace with the current developments and to establish a technical community capable of achieving the country's aspirations and development plans. The digital transformation in the Kingdom has covered most of the important sectors, especially the industrial and productive sectors to strengthen and rebuild the economy on strong foundations. The newspaper further added that the joint cooperation between the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Ministry of Interior in launching the Digital identity project via Tawakkalna application, which includes national identity and resident identity, is the most recent step in digital transformation programs, as it reflects HRH the Crown's keenness to integrate efforts between government agencies in support of digital transformation endeavors, in order to achieve the goals of Vision 2030. In another context, Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the Ministry of Health with other government agencies work to achieve community immunity that restores normal life. The authorities in Saudi Arabia have also warned of the increase in the number of confirmed cases in the past days, and called for taking the vaccine as it is the only way to overcome the pandemic. The Ministry has reiterated that the vaccines approved in the Kingdom are safe and effective at preventing the COVID-19 infection and its complications. Moreover, more than 4 million doses of Coronavirus administered across the Kingdom through more than 500 vaccination centers, the newspaper concluded.
