The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Public Security - General Traffic Department, launched an electronic version of the driving license through the Ministry of Interior's online application "Absher Individuals" and the "Tawakkalna" application. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Spokesperson of the Traffic Department said the security authorities approve the digital version of the driving license, which was developed in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by the National Information Center. He added that the new electronic driving license includes a QR Code, affirming that the drivers can keep a copy of it on the smartphones and use it without the need for an internet connection.
