This meeting is considered a launching event for the work of this committee, which aims to achieve economic and trade integration between the two countries and consolidate fraternal and historical ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which enjoy care and attention from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The meeting dealt with a number of topics in areas such as commercial and financial cooperation in the fields of industry, mineral resources, energy, renewable energy, and specifications and standards. The meeting also discussed the committee's work mechanisms and approved plans to complete proposed initiatives. The Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council was established during discussions held between the Saudi Foreign Minister and his Bahraini counterpart, in July 2019, to oversee all areas of cooperation between the two countries. The council represents a number of committees concerned with developing aspects of cooperation in political, economic, military, media, investment, social and vital fields between the two countries. The Council is co-chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
